The Web Content employees will provide extensive coverage of the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship for BuffaloWorldJuniors.com, giving fans an in-depth look at the tournament.  

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Buffalo Sabres and PSE web content team to provide professional coverage throughout the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship, including game previews, game recaps, feature stories and other content as assigned.
  • Cover fan-related events connected to the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo, particularly those taking place in and around KeyBank Center, HarborCenter and New Era Field.
  • Must have a working knowledge of hockey and the World Junior Championship, as well as prior writing experience.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Times will vary between 8 a.m. – 12 a.m. (subject to change).
  • Must be willing to assist other areas of need if the situation arises.

Video Engineer/Maintenance Technician - Detroit Red Wings/Olympia Entertainment (Detroit, MI)

Job Summary: 

 

The maintenance technician will be responsible for checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures. This person will work with other operations and maintenance staff to ensure that all Entertainment Services equipment runs smoothly and reliably. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1.     Equipment maintenance and repair.

2.     Equipment malfunction - troubleshoot, diagnose and repair and/or replace broadcast equipment. 

3.     Provides operational support to Entertainment Services and other departments as needed. 

4.     Maintains a clean workshop environment. 

5.     Preventative maintenance on all equipment (PM). 

6.     Assists with new equipment integration. 

7.     Demonstrated understanding of network and server technologies including IP routing and switching technology.

 

Supplemental Job Functions:

 

1.     Other Duties as deemed necessary.

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

1.     Minimum ten (10) years’ experience as Maintenance Technician, Operations Technician or similar position. 

2.     Demonstrated ability in component level troubleshooting, large project conception and implementation and customer focused problem solving. 

3.     Working knowledge of both digital and analog video/audio systems, RF and ENG microwave, field and studio cameras and decks. 

4.     Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overnights. 

5.     Must be able to process large amounts of information, analyze this information and make sound decisions sometimes under intense deadline pressure.

6.     Good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

1.     Must be willing to work in Detroit area and travel as needed for special assignments.

2.     Must be willing to work long hours, varying shifts (including nights and weekends) and report to work in emergencies depending upon news coverage when necessary.

The Solutions Developer II will work directly with the Director of Business Solutions to develop and deploy elements that will be featured throughout multiple digital media products across the Pegula Sports & Entertainment portfolio.  This individual will work day to day with the Solutions Developer I, as well as with other key departments across the enterprise. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage & maintain all aspects of the company-wide Extranet including:

    • Document management system

    • Internal communications

    • Work flow & automation

    • Server Infrastructure

    • Active directory & work place organization

  • Design, develop & deploy new applications in conjunction with internal goals & objectives

  • Create policy & documentation for new & existing  employees

  • Work with outside departments on specific goals & objectives to provide a new working environment

  • Work with Solutions Developer I on day-to-day operation of multiple products

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Media or related program

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital media/software development field

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, server side and database

  • Experience in digital development using technologies and languages such as HTML(5), JS, JQuery, CSS, C#, .NET, MVC, SQL

  • Mobile app development is a plus

  • Proficiency in Adobe CC, Microsoft Office, standard office software packages

SUMMARY

 

The Information Technology Department of Pegula Sports and Entertainment has an immediate opening for an IT Support Specialist. Under the general direction of the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing routine support to end users on a variety of issues: Identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems. The incumbent will respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support and document, track, and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, user and event support. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 • Receives, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming requests from end-users experiencing IT problems

• Provides helpdesk support and resolves problems to the end user’s satisfaction

• Performs basic system administration/Active Directory tasks including account provisioning and removal, e-mail setup, and maintenance of e-mail distribution lists, security groups, and individual system and directory permissions

• Monitors and responds quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk

• Modifies configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation

• Documents internal procedures and policies

• Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end-users on the network

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Assists with on-boarding of new users

Digital Website Specialist - TD Garden Boston Bruins (Boston, MA)

Summary:

This role reports to the Digital Platform Manager. Responsible for content management and development for all Boston Bruins and DNC Boston owned digital properties including BostonBruins.com, Boston Bruins Mobile App, TDGarden.com, TD Garden Mobile App., TDGardenapps.com, and other digital sites.

  • Serves as point person for tech / design troubleshooting in support of daily site QA and functionality
  • Coordinate the implementation of website landing pages; video, photo and news content; sponsorship advertising integration; and Boston Bruins and TD Garden event and internal marketing/sales initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency of presentation graphics and content across all owned digital platforms
  • Implements channel tracking, and provide key reporting on digital platform performance.
  • Delivers insights and takeaways on digital campaigns by partnering with key business contacts to guide next steps and recommendations for how to move forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Produces the content development across our owned digital platforms including BostonBruins.com, Boston Bruins Mobile App, TDGarden.com, TD Garden Mobile App., TDGardenapps.com and other digital channels as needed while ensuring brand consistency across our web assets. Specifically:
    • Optimizes site performance consistently 
    • Produces and manages site / app features and functionality 
    • Leads ongoing QA of digital properties 
    • Work with external vendors on content updates and platform changes including forms, virtual seating map, ticketing, and content optimization
    • Setup tracking utilizing tagging, pixels, CFCs within the site structure.
  • Analyze and provide key 'real-time' reporting on digital campaigns to effectively inform internal stakeholders of performance trends and to measure campaign goals and objectives.
  • Work alongside campaign specialist to take findings and make adjustments to the campaign/personalization tools to better target messaging to fans.
  • Utilizing multiple CMS tools as well as front-end development capabilities create specific pages for digital properties including BostonBruins.com, Boston Bruins Mobile App, TDGarden.com, TD Garden Mobile App., TDGardenapps.com for sales and marketing initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree(s) Required: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, computer science, graphic design or related field.
  • All candidates must have 1-2 years professional experience managing content for high traffic websites.
  • Must have exceptional communication and organization skills.
  • Candidate is required to possess a working knowledge of and experience using website content management systems within the business environment.
  • Candidate should demonstrate a familiarity with HTML 5, Javascript, Jquery, Adobe CS6/Creative Cloud, Flash, Sales Force, Marketo, and Adobe Campaign.
