Digital Website Specialist - Detroit Red Wings (Detroit, MI)

Job Summary: 

This role works within the web division of the Integrated Media department and is responsible for development and content management for all of Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment owned web properties including design, marketing content, editorial posting, SEO, reporting and analysis of website metrics.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day website management including improving the functionality/design, making content updates/changes and improving conversion rates across all Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment websites

  • Optimize site performance

  • Leads ongoing QA of digital properties

  • Work with external vendors on content updates and platform changes including forms, virtual seating map, ticketing, and content optimization

  • Setup tracking utilizing tagging, pixels, CFCs within the site structure.

  • Build pages for digital properties utilizing multiple CMS tools as well as front-end development capabilities including:

  • Marketing pages designed to drive ticket sales, event and arena information, and online promotions

  • Latest news stories from DetroitRedWings.com writers and reporters

  • Press releases, news, injury updates and statistics

  • Show announcements and ticket on-sales that involve usage of Photoshop to create artwork

  • In-game coverage and recaps

  • Updates to RedWingsSeasonTickets.com via the IOMEDIA platform

  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of Omniture and Google Analytics to create reports for specific marketing campaigns while tracking monthly KPI’s.

  • Ongoing SEO strategy, evaluation, analysis and recommendation for Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment websites. Conduct SEO audits, documenting baselines, benchmarks, changes and suggesting action steps as needed.

  • Be available at a moment’s notice when news breaks and it must be updated on the website

  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in web design or related field.

  • Minimum of three (3) years professional experience managing content for high traffic websites

  • Candidate should demonstrate a familiarity with HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically Photoshop)/Creative Cloud, and Adobe Analytics

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with mobile-first and responsive design cross-platform testing (IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.).

  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to develop insights and recommendations from data

  • Understanding of search engine optimization and discoverability best practices, including best practices for URL and file naming conventions

  • Understanding of metadata frameworks

  • Self-motivator with ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines, produce quality high volume work and multi-task.

  • Must be able to manage multiple programs at one time

  • Excellent communication, written, interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Superior attention to detail and a desire to deliver exceptional results for business objectives

  • Flexible schedule – must be available on nights and weekends for Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment events and/or additional events as necessary.

 

Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge and passion of sports (particularly the NHL) and entertainment

  • Experience with JQuery/JavaScript, PHP, Bootstrap and similar web development languages

  • Wordpress, MYSQL and phpMyAdmin database infrastructure

 

Working Conditions:

  • Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Exposure to moderate noise level

  • Frequent visual/auditory attention

IT Support Tecnician - Florida Panthers Hockey Club (Sunrise, FL)

IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Florida Panthers are seeking a candidate for an entry level technical support position.  Job responsibilities include a wide range of technical support, problem solving, and helping out with day to day projects.  Candidate will primarily work out of the Arena in Sunrise but may be called to Practice Facility in Coral Springs or Public Rink in Fort Lauderdale as required.  

Qualities we are seeking:

Self-Motivated Problem solver with good communication skills.

Reliable, team-oriented, proactive and adaptable individual.

Available primarily for various Arena Events (NHL Game Night, Concert etc.)

Basic Duties:

Basic laptop and desktop troubleshooting.

Helping users set up their desktop.

Computer hardware, printer and copier configuration and troubleshooting.

Assisting in network troubleshooting.

Software installation.

Running wires and cable termination for IT and AV.

Two to six miles of walking on events days are common.

Ability to get under stands and closets, mounting or removal of equipment from ceilings.

Solutions Developer II - Pegula Sports and Entertainment (Buffalo, NY)

SUMMARY

The Solutions Developer II will work directly with the Director of Business Solutions to develop and deploy elements that will be featured throughout multiple digital media products across the Pegula Sports & Entertainment portfolio.  This individual will work day to day with the Solutions Developer I, as well as with other key departments across the enterprise. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage & maintain all aspects of the company-wide Extranet including:

    • Document management system

    • Internal communications

    • Work flow & automation

    • Server Infrastructure

    • Active directory & work place organization

  • Design, develop & deploy new applications in conjunction with internal goals & objectives

  • Create policy & documentation for new & existing  employees

  • Work with outside departments on specific goals & objectives to provide a new working environment

  • Work with Solutions Developer I on day-to-day operation of multiple products

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Media or related program

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital media/software development field

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, server side and database

  • Experience in digital development using technologies and languages such as HTML(5), JS, JQuery, CSS, C#, .NET, MVC, SQL

  • Mobile app development is a plus

  • Proficiency in Adobe CC, Microsoft Office, standard office software packages

  • Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Flexibility in working extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
