Housekeeping Assistant (Part Time) - Columbus Blue Jackets Arena Management (Columbus, OH)

Summary

Perform routine custodial work, minor maintenance, and repair work in the cleaning and upkeep of Nationwide Arena.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for the condition and cleanliness of spaces as assigned, which includes specialty locker rooms, restrooms, meeting rooms, and office space.

Disinfect rooms includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, stocking glass cleaning, spot cleaning, carpet cleaning, wall washing and floor refinishing.

Performs bowl cleaning work which may include policing of liquids, sweeping of trash, and mopping of all seating areas.

Operate specialty equipment such as scrubbers, floor cleaners, vacuums, carpet cleaning machines, KaiVac restroom cleaning machines, etc.

Assists in oversight of contractor event and post clean work. Inspects work and redirects workers as needed.

Performs recovery-cleaning tasks as scheduled.

Social Media Coordinator - Columbus Blue Jackets (Columbus, OH)

The Digital and Social Media Coordinator plays a critical role in the development of the CBJ fan base, old and new alike. This person must be smart enough to connect disparate dots within and around the organization, brave enough to stand up for digital strategy, creative enough to tweet poetry, and organized enough to manage a plethora of activities at any given point and time.

It is this role's responsibility to put CBJ in a position to build upon past social accolades which include being "funnier, faster, and more up on Twitter jokes" than any other NHL team (Digital Sport) and being named among the best professional teams in social media by Bleacher Report and Sports Illustrated. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for the club's Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube platforms including creating and scheduling content along with maintaining and developing the club's voice.

Respond to and engage with Blue Jackets fans on social media.

Orchestrate the proper showcasing of content on BlueJackets.com, the Blue Jackets Mobile App, and team social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn) in an effort to drive more engagement, clicks, and page views along with using proper tracking to showcase results of effort.

Work collaboratively within the organization to promote the Blue Jackets brand while aligning with the organization's message and image.

Communicate with the NHL and MLBAM as it relates to website and social initiatives including but not limited to participating and attending league calls, managing app push alerts, and loading web videos.

Conceptualize and execute the Blue Jackets’ social media strategy by staying on top of trends with the goal of expanding the CBJ brand into new areas and audiences.

Produce reports on an as-needed basis to ensure department and organization leverage data to improve social media efforts.

Effectively utilize ancillary platforms that support main social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat) to develop stronger promotions aimed at higher fan engagement, better analytics, and data capture.

Primarily responsible for daily coverage on social media channels and in charge of scheduling coverage if unavailable through regular communication with the Director of Digital Marketing and Analytics.

Manage and execute a monthly schedule of social media content to be housed within the Digital Marketing events calendar.

Work directly with the Corporate Development department to create a calendar of upcoming corporate social content including feedback and suggestions aimed to deliver the best results.

Create graphics and visual content as needed including but not limited to edited images, GIFs, short videos.

This position requires occasional work on evenings, weekends and holidays, particularly during the NHL season.
