Broadcast: Broadcasting
Broadcast Engineer - Buffalo Sabres (Buffalo, NY)


Reports to VP of Broadcasting and works closely with Broadcast Engineer Advisor.  Oversees all technical aspects of Broadcast control room, edit suites, interface room hardware and broadcast systems that are used across all platforms of game presentation, broadcast, radio and new media at First Niagara Center and HARBORCENTER.  Ensure that events are broadcast to the highest possible level of quality as well as operating and maintaining the systems, carrying out updates and repairs, and maintaining equipment for video production, broadcast and transmission.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Configure, set up and maintain audio/visual equipment in control room and production areas;

·         Install and test new facilities and equipment;

·         Set up and operate editing facilities in post-production suites;

·         Analyze and rectify technical faults on equipment and systems;

·         Minimize loss of service at times of equipment failure by rapidly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision;

·         Keep up to date of constant changes in technology by investing new systems, techniques and equipment;

·         Work with broadcast archiving;

·         Work with network mobile unit engineers on event days;

·         Repair hardware, software, and other broadcast technology systems;

·         Work with requests from producers, directors, and other colleagues to ensure the functionality of equipment;

·         Experience working with vendors in supporting hardware and software platforms and products;

·         Experience working in a fast-paced, multi project environment with ability to manage shifting priorities;

·         Ability to communicate effectively with members of the team other colleagues;

·         Good independent work skills, but also able to function as part of the team.

Education and Experience

·         Minimum 4 years and broadcast engineering experience;

·         Undergraduate degree in Television, Engineering, and Electronics.

Broadcast: Broadcast Production
Sr. Producer - Pegula Sports and Entertainment (Buffalo, NY)

Summary of Position:

The Sr. Producer is responsible for executing the video content vision for Pegula Sports and Entertainment. 

Core Responsibilities:

·         Manage, Coordinate, Produce media content needs for PSE and its subsidiaries.

·         Responsible for researching, writing media content and following through on its execution through the shooting and editing process.

·         Work with Broadcast/Marketing/Creative VPs to support initiatives, manage needs, and to create video elements for broadcast and digital.

·         Editorial oversight and execution of PSE video elements.

·         Field Produce features.

·         Line-produce (live and post) PSE shows for broadcast and digital (sabres pre/post/others).

·         Aggregate video content between entities.

·         Conduit between marketing, broadcasting, creative dept, and all other PSE entities.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

·         Minimum of 5 years broadcast experience as field or line producer.

·         Strong knowledge of all stages of video production- logistics, writing, editing, graphics, distribution.

·         Proven experience manage multiple projects simultaneously through all phases including budget, cross departmentally.

·         Strong knowledge of all media distribution outlets.

·         Ability to work with all members of the production team to ensure the highest quality results.

·         Excellent comfort level with all broadcast environments; Studio, Production Truck, Live.

·         Excellent knowledge of the latest broadcast equipment- studio, remote.

·         Ability to adapt in an ever changing environment.

·         Excellent writing skills

·         Ability to make stringent deadlines

·         Work off hours and weekends

·         Ability to work under pressure
