Traffic/Production Assistant - Pegula Sports & Entertainment (Buffalo, NY)

Summary

The primary role for the Traffic/Production Assistant position would be to manage and promote smooth workflow and communication between internal departments.  This would entail assigning, coordinating, and keeping track of incoming jobs for all members of the growing creative staff – designers, editor, and videographers.  Would be responsible for processing requests and gathering the necessary information to move a project forward and following the job from inception to project completion, while ensuring that all processes and documentation is followed.  This would include scheduling jobs, following-up on approvals, negotiating deadlines, and acting as a liaison between departments to keep necessary staff apprised of job status.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing daily reports with Traffic Manager

  • Providing creative team with daily priority list to keep them on track

  • Obtaining quotes from vendors, filling our purchase orders and coordinating delivery dates

  • Assisting the videography team with scheduling and coordinating shoot times, locations and resources

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years Traffic/Production experience in a News, Sports, Entertainment or Production field

  • Strong knowledge of full service creative environment

  • Ability to work with all members of the design team to ensure the highest quality

  • Ability to adapt in an ever changing environment

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments

  • Ability to work under pressure with high expectations

  • Ability to work off hours and weekends, if necessary

  • Computer savvy, comfortable with Microsoft Office applications and Project Management software

Competencies

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Ability to remain neutral, level headed, and objective
