 Summary of Position

To ensure the safety and enjoyment or guests, contractors and employees while enforcing company policy in a positive and professional manner, through patrolling assigned areas and through interpersonal communications.  Monitoring and controlling the movements of patrons, visitors and contractors using various methods is also a main component of the job.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Provide a high level of service to patrons before, during, and after events.

Previous law enforcement or security experience is preferred;

Must be able to stand, sit, walk for extended and varying periods of time;

Must be able to walk stairs;

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.;

Must be willing and able to respond to emergent situations;

Must be able to work irregular hours including weekends, evenings, overnight shifts, holidays and unscheduled and forced overtime shifts;

Position Summary

The Marketing/Business Solutions departments of Pegula Sports and Entertainment have openings for Game-Day Mobile Tech Squad Staff. Under the general direction of the Marketing/Business Solutions department, the Mobile Tech Squad Staff will be responsible for providing support to fans across Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, and other Pegula Sports and Entertainment events. Game-Day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting fans with implementation of mobile app features and programs, and support for all fan inquiries in regards to mobile phone applications. Marketing Manager - Pegula Sports and Entertainment (Buffalo, NY)

SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager at Pegula Sports and Entertainment will manage development and execution of strategic marketing plans related to several PSE properties including My One Buffalo, HarborCenter, and any needs with MSG Western New York. In addition, this position will be tasked with evaluating emerging fan engagement trends and making recommendations in how PSE can leverage technology to connect with fans of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, and Rochester Americans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•         Develop strategic marketing plans for the My One Buffalo mobile fan engagement platform with a particular focus on leveraging the app to benefit the Bills and Sabres

•         Create, maintain, and ensure delivery of a year-round rewards calendar tied to My One Buffalo

•         Continue to develop and evolve the My One Buffalo brand to educate fans on the benefits of the app and maintain relevance among existing users

•         Oversee the management of the My One Buffalo Street Team and Buff-a-Nerds tech support teams to ensure positive fan interaction at events

•         Assess fan feedback and make recommendations for features to include in future iterations of the My One Buffalo app

•         Ensure all backend content requirements for the My One Buffalo app are being fulfilled

•         Seek out new opportunities for fan engagement through technology or other means that are relevant to PSE properties

•         Make recommendations to the Director of Marketing and EVP Marketing Brand Strategy at PSE on relevant fan engagement trends

•         Develop strategic marketing plans for Impact Sport Performance, Academy of Hockey, and The Rinks at HarborCenter taking into account feedback from key stakeholders at each property

•         Manage the promotion and relationship with MSG Western New York to promote original programming and special event broadcasts

•         Develop strategic marketing plans and contribute to the promotion of special events awarded to Buffalo in which PSE has a role

EXPECTATIONS

•     Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field

•     3-5 years experience working in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field

•     Background in Sports Marketing or Sports Business preferred

•     Previous experience in fan/consumer engagement role a plus

•     Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients at all levels

Part Time Cleaners/Housekeeping - HARBORCENTER (Buffalo, NY)

These roles are responsible for ensuring timely completion of the custodial operations specific to the The Rinks at HARBORCENTER. Responsibilities include proper use and handling of cleaning products, chemicals, equipment as well as inventory control and quality assurance.

Detailed Description:

  • Ensures proper usage of supplies and equipment throughout the Arena.

  • Safely operates and maintains all types of cleaning machinery and equipment.

  • Ensures proper use of cleaning chemicals and agents. 

  • Conducts building inspections.

  • Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.

  • Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.

  • Removes trash from premises.

  • Completes daily work orders as scheduled.

  • Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas. Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.

  • As applicable, cleans restrooms, sweeps and mops floors. Refills all dispensers such as hand towels, toilet paper & hand soap. Cleans toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors & counters. Empties/removes trash. Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to manager.

  • Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.

  • Other duties as required.

    Special Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time

Senior Payroll Manager - Buffalo Sabres (Buffalo, NY)

Position Summary

The Senior Payroll Manager will provide leadership and support for the accurate preparation, processing and timely distribution of payroll within our multi-state, multi-site environment.  This position will be relied upon as a resource to ensure compliance across our dynamic organization.  

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure payroll tax and legal compliance (including hospitality wage laws and multi-state taxation).
  • Manage multiple payrolls, including varying pay periods and cycles.
  • Supervise payroll processing staff of 3.
  • Design and perform internal controls over payroll processing.
  • Ensure accuracy of monthly financial recording of payroll and related account reconciliations.
  • Take a project management role in various payroll-related projects; work closely with Human Resources.  Examples include:
    • Automate vacation/sick/personal time request, approval, application and accrual tracking in Ultimate Software system;
    • New company payroll setup;
    • Compliance with NY Workers Compensation Board Paid Family Leave regulations;
    • Support the implementation of self-service onboarding for new employees.
  • Identify and design new payroll-related reports to add value for Finance and HR objectives.
  • Create payroll processing guidelines for all businesses, update these policies and procedures as needed.
  • Identify inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • Sr. Manager or above role due to the knowledge and expertise we are requesting; 10 years’ experience preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
  • Ultimate Software experience preferred.
  • Experience with:
    • Collective Bargaining Agreements;
    • System and software implementation, including payroll/HRIS;
    • Different classifications of employees with varying pay structures;
    • 401(k) reporting; Payroll tax filings
    • Food and beverage environment, professional sports and entertainment environment (preferred).
