Club In-Seat Server is responsible for taking orders from guests in Club Level seating before and during events and for providing excellent and professional customer service. Server will be able to provide information and answer questions about the menu and general information about the Arena. In addition, the In-Seat Server is responsible for balancing cash account.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old. Excellent customer service and communication skills are required. Previous food and beverage experience, point of sale, and math skills are preferred.
  • Guest purchases (cash and credit card) are made via the use of hand-held tablets and printers.
  • Should be able to walk and stand for long periods of time as well as climb stairs, bend and lift up to 20 pounds. Must be available to report to work by 5:45 PM on weekdays and be able to work 60% of booked events.

Part-Time Parking Attendant - Carolina Hurricanes (Raleigh, NC)

The position of Parking Attendant is responsible for facilitating efficient traffic control by directing guest's vehicles into proper parking lots, roadways, and other areas during and after arena events. The starting pay rate for this part-time position is $8.50 an hour.  

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old and speak fluent English. Applicants should have excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be able to stand for long periods of time (approx. 4 hours), and willing to work outside in all inclement weather conditions (rain, cold, heat, etc.). Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

The position of Parking Attendant requires the ability to work a flexible work schedule including hockey games, basketball games, and a variety of concerts and family shows scheduled on weeknights, Saturdays and Sundays and occasional holidays. The applicant must be willing to work a few events classified as "mandatory" by arena management, and available for at least 60% of all arena events scheduled per month during hockey and college basketball seasons, September through early June. The Concessions Cashier will take orders, accept money and make change for guest at the concession stand. Follow cash handling procedures at all times. Operations Changeover crew are responsible for the conversion of the different arena setups as well as some general maintenance of the building’s systems and equipment.  

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use power tools, stand and bend for long periods of time. Job may require work in adverse weather conditions. Must have and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license.  Previous forklift experience a plus.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule depending on event including late nights (typically 9 pm-2:30 am), weekends and holidays as needed. On certain occasions some shifts could start as late 11pm and go to as late 6am.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing inflatable rides during the South Plaza Parties
  • Help with setting up and breaking down of South Plaza Parties.
  • Help manage our 50/50 raffle during select home games
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our fans and corporate partners in attendance.

Part-time Suite Runner - Carolina Hurricanes (Raleigh, NC)

Suite Runners are responsible for prepping and assembling food, snack and condiment orders from printed production reports, delivering pre-ordered and event day food items to the proper Suite. Also responsible for removing and clearing all dishes, utensils and other items after the events have ended.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old. Must be at least 21 years old to operate an optional dessert cart (includes serving alcohol). Must have excellent communication, customer service skills as well as exceptional attention to detail. Previous banquet, country club or food and beverage experience is preferred. 

Must be able to stand for long periods of time including walking up and down stairs, pushing carts and the ability to lift 35 pounds.

A flexible work schedule is required for the position including 75% monthly availability (must be available for any 5 days of a standard work week) for all booked events (hockey, basketball, concerts and family shows) scheduled on nights, weekends and holidays. You must be available to report for each shift 3-4 hours prior to the event time of each scheduled event (i.e. 3:00-4:00 p.m. report time required for a 7:00 p.m. event). Event times will vary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell a full menu of ticket products including, but not limited to full and partial season ticket packages and group ticket packages
  • Make 85+ cold calls/day from lists provided to sell full and partial season ticket packages and group tickets; generate own leads through referrals, networking, social selling and effective research
  • Create and develop new business by regularly pitching new prospects through in-arena tours, external appointments, phone prospecting, social selling and events
  • Attend outside events with the purpose of selling ticket packages, networking, gathering leads and prospects
  • Effectively follow up with customers and prospective customers in order to build relationships to help drive business and to meet excellent customer service requirements
  • Effectively handle incoming sales calls from prospective clients for all ticket sales products
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for all ticket products
  • Contribute positively to a competitive sales team culture and participate in sales team meetings and training sessions
  • Work events and games as assigned to support ticket sales efforts and promotional initiatives
  • Regularly produce accurate updates on prospecting activity, sales performance, outside appointment and event recaps
  • Represent the Hurricanes professionally on game night while interacting with clients and prospects at Hurricanes sales tables or seats visits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Past experience or internships with a team, college or in the sales industry is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, establish a rapport and build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends as well as games and events as necessary
  • Ticketing system and CRM experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related computer skills required
  • Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
