Assistant to the Skating Director - Florida Panthers Hockey Club (Coral Springs, FL)

Department:                Figure Skating

Job Summary:

The Assistant to the Skating Director is responsible for program development and administrative work of the Figure Skating Department. The job may require shifts ranging from morning, evening and weekends hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the communication between staff, skaters, parents and arena management

  • Inform customers of daily schedules and/or any adjustments

  • Manages departmental communications including emails and phone calls to/from customers in a friendly and professional manner

  • Resolve guest challenges, utilizing support from the skating director and staff when necessary

  • Calendar management

  • Assist in the marketing of social media for all skating programs

  • Oversee the figure monitoring program for all skating sessions

  • Review, accept, register and determine proper placement of new applicants into the skating program with the assistance from the skating director

  • Travel between the Panthers IceDen and the BB&T Center as required

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn other software systems

  • Detail oriented, well-organized, able to work independently on assigned tasks while under pressure

  • Candidate will have the ability to work as a team player and have good self-motivational skills
  • Sound organizational and time-management skills
  • Job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license
  • Flexibility with work schedule- Nights, weekends, and holidays required.

Event Staff - The Florida Panthers (Sunrise, Fl)

We are looking for hard working, customer service oriented individuals with a pride and passion for Sports + Entertainment.  Employees will be responsible for a wide range of duties assigned on a week by week basis from events/game operations.  The staff will be exposed to a variety of aspects related to Sport Management and will provide those looking to enter a career in sports or event management valuable experience for career growth.

Facility Operations/Security: Custodial/Housekeeping
PT Housekeeping - Florida Panthers (Sunrise, FL)

These roles are responsible for ensuring timely completion of the custodial operations specific to the BB&T Center Arena. Responsibilities include proper use and handling of cleaning products, chemicals, equipment as well as inventory control and quality assurance.

Detailed Description:

  • Ensures proper usage of supplies and equipment throughout the Arena.
  • Safely operates and maintains all types of cleaning machinery and equipment.
  • Ensures proper use of cleaning chemicals and agents. 
  • Conducts building inspections.
  • Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
  • Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
  • Removes trash from premises.
  • Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
  • Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas. Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
  • As applicable, cleans restrooms, sweeps and mops floors. Refills all dispensers such as hand towels, toilet paper & hand soap. Cleans toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors & counters. Empties/removes trash. Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to manager.
  • Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
  • Other duties as required.

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time (8-12 hours/day).
  • Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
  • Walk and climb stairs.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
  • Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends based on project requirement.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3 ft).

Job Title: PT-Parking Attendant/ Cashier

Department: Parking Services

Reports To: Parking Services Event Manager

Summary:

Directs vehicles to available parking spaces and assists customers with questions within the parking lots and garages during events. Greets patrons and collects parking fees and/or passes as they enter the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct vehicles to the closest available parking space;

  • Greet each customer entering parking facility;

  • Collect revenues and issue parking tickets to cash parker;

  • Collect parking passes from prepaid patrons;

  • Records names of parking patrons authorized to sign-in;

  • Assist patrons with questions;

  • Set up and move traffic cones and barricades to control traffic in assigned area;
