Account Manager
The New York Islanders are looking for a Corporate Partnership Account Manager to join our team. This position requires a minimum of 6 years sales experience, 2 years in sports, entertainment or media sales and a minimum of 2 years in sponsorship sales. Candidate must be self-motivated, disciplined and must possess the ability to excel with strong and detailed follow-up skills. Position is responsible for prospecting, selling new business to local and national companies and managing and maintaining developed accounts. Candidate must be able to manage time effectively and handle managing the activity of multiple partners. Position requires long hours and work on weekends. Sports/entertainment background preferred. Bachelor’s degree a must. Existing book of business/corporate relationships on Long Island preferred.

The Group Sales and Inside Sales Department will serve a feeder system into a senior level sales position.
Responsibilities:
• Cold Call prospects for ticket packages like but not limited to individual game buyers, past mini-plan holders, past family pack customers, past birthday party packages
• Cold Call prospects for groups like but not limited to schools, scout groups, companies, temples and churches, youth teams, youth organizations, etc.
• Make at least 100 outbound phone calls per day
• Assist in the execution of inside & group sales initiatives
• Meet all pre-determined sales goals
• Multi-task between handling a large amount of phone calls and customer retention
Qualifications:
Must have 1 – 2 years selling experience
• College graduate (4) year degree preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Strong customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to handle heavy phone volume, both outbound and inbound
• Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as dictated by events
• Self motivated, but easily takes direction from others
• MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook computer skills

This senior sales executive position is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of full season, partial season and select premium ticket plans. As a member of the New York Islanders organization, the chosen individual will be provided a starting base salary and a generous commission plan with earnings of $100k+ and excellent benefits package. This is a senior sales executive position at a major league professional sports team with a solid training program.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Generate business revenue using all sales methods, including cold calls, face-to-face appointments, prospecting and networking
• Manage accounts in order to exceed established monthly sales goals
• Conduct 50 - 75 new calls on a daily basis
• Aggressive prospecting in order to generate new business relationships
• Conduct face-to-face sales presentations with potential customers
• Develop prospects by calling lists provided of former customers and self generated leads
• Establish professional relations to create repeat business
• Entertain current clientele and possible prospects at home game games as well as team and sales events
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors Degree
• 4-5 Years of Full Time sales experience with a sports team/Media sales or in the entertainment industry preferred
• Existing book of business/corporate relationships on Long Island preferred
• Professional presence to conduct face-to-face business meetings
• Friendly/inviting phone presence
• Highly competitive
• Strong computer skills required/Archtics a plus
• High-energy/self-motivated to start/continue career in sports sales
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
