Legal: General Counsel/Contractual Law
Senior Counsel - National Hockey League (New York, NY)

SUMMARY

The National Hockey League is looking for an Attorney to be involved in and responsible for all aspects and phases of the League's media business, working closely with the NHL's, as well as Member Clubs', legal and business groups; and to assist with privacy and technology matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Responsibilities include representing and advising clients on negotiating strategy, structuring and/or general legal advice relating to broadcast agreements, carriage agreements, website agreements, mobile entertainment agreements, consulting agreements, privacy and technology matters; drafting/reviewing relevant agreements/documents; advising Member Clubs on local broadcast matters.  Additionally, position will be required to support certain international non-media activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

The qualified candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing media and/or technology law at a law firm or in-house legal department.  They should have the ability to exercise good judgment in identifying critical legal issues and evaluating and weighing legal risks, to explain legal issues clearly and concisely, and to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.  Must be admitted to Bar.
